What I do and who I do it for
I work at the junction where Finance strategy meets IT delivery. That means I understand what the CFO is trying to protect, what the CIO is trying to build, and why those two conversations so often talk past each other.
My background spans management accounting (CIMA), a decade-plus across Ford and Ford Credit in European Finance operations, full stack development and leading complex ERP and data transformation programmes. That combination is rare and it's where I add the most value.
Finance IT Programme & Project Management
Leading complex Finance transformation programmes
I've led large-scale Finance IT programmes across multinational environments - ERP implementations, microservices architecture, cloud migration on Azure, data platform builds on Databricks. I bring both the delivery rigour and the Finance domain fluency that most project managers can't offer.
I understand the language of the Finance function - period-end pressure, audit trails, reconciliation integrity, management reporting - and I translate that into IT requirements that actually land with architects and developers.
If your programme is stalling because the business and IT can't get aligned, that's usually where I come in.
Relevant engagements include: Ford Credit Europe (multi-market Finance systems), Mars FDSS programme (SAP/Microservices, Azure & Databricks).

Business Analysis & Finance Systems Design
Bridging the gap between what Finance needs and what IT builds
Bad requirements are the single biggest cause of failed Finance IT projects. I conduct structured process and systems analysis across the Finance function - AR, AP, GL, reporting, consolidation, planning and translate business needs into technical specifications that development teams can actually work from.
I've done this in SAP environments, bespoke microservices landscapes and hybrid legacy/cloud architectures. I know what a Finance business analyst needs to know about systems and what a systems analyst often misses about Finance.
Advisory & Mentoring
For individuals navigating Finance → Finance IT, or Finance IT → senior leadership
My own career wasn't linear. I came from management accounting, moved into IT project delivery, picked up full stack development, and built from there. I know what that transition looks and feels like and where people get stuck.
I work with a small number of professionals at a time on a focused, outcomes-led basis. This isn't motivational coaching - it's structured guidance on positioning, skill-building, stakeholder navigation and career strategy.
I also take occasional advisory engagements with smaller organisations who need senior Finance IT perspective without a full programme budget.
Alejandra Huamán, Account Executive: "His guidance, interview practice and encouragement helped me create clarity on how to position myself. Dante's overall presence had a positive impact on my career."
